4 of us went on sat eve and the food and service is incredible and reasonably priced. Food is so fresh and tasty. Don't understand why this place is not packed out constantly. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a fabulous meal
We visited on Easter Sunday for the monthly vegan buffet - always on the last Sunday. You walk in up the stairs, which initially look and feel a bit grim - but persevere, and arrive at the restaurant. The decor was bright and reflected the Sri Lankan culture. We chose to sit in a booth which was comfortable and intimate. The service was excellent - attentive and friendly. The buffet was set out really well, everything was clearly labelled. The choice was fantastic, so many starters, mains, and desserts on offer; everything vibrant and fresh. The food was delicious and it was great to try so many different dishes. It’s all you can eat for 19.95 and you can definitely make the most of this as there is no feeling of being rushed. The vegan buffet starts at 2pm but before this there is an omnivorous buffet available. There is no cross contamination issues as there is a break between so all food on offer after 2 is definitely vegan. Highly recommended!
Had a wonderful experience at Ayubowan. Food was delicious! Starters were full of flavor and were a good variety to choose from. Lamb curry was also flavorful and tender. Good service and a friendly atmosphere.
Our family had our first experience of the vegan buffet last night and we're very impressed and would highly recommend it. The food was varied ,well presented and delicious. Such a magnificent spread ...and we enjoyed the warm and welcoming eenvironment too. We will definitely be back,thank you so much .
We loved it! Will be coming back here again for sure. We ordered the vegan abula and the spinach and lentil curry for mains. We took the leftovers home to leave space for dessert. I loved the Wattalappam and we thought the shovel-spoons were very cute. I'd never had Sri Lankan food before and came away very satisfied. Staff were friendly and attentive. The decor was colourful and the music wasn't too loud. The only negative was the design of the table- the central pillar was a bit too big so we kept bumping into it when trying to stretch our legs out, which caused us to almost knock our glasses over a few times!
So I ordered off Just Eat, I realised I had ordered the wrong drink they said they didn't have the drink so we changed the order on the phone the person who came to the door was lovely and the food, oh my gosh the Aubergine Moju was out of this world and the Wattalapam, when I come back i will buy a whole car full it was literally that good. I got a taste of everything including the lamb patties. My one and only nit pick is the onion bajis we're abit burnt BUT they were free so you can't complain.
I've just been for the second time tonight and I'm absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. I've left the restaurant full, happy and raving about how delicious it was.
